Things You Ignore

There are always going to be things - like rolling through a stop sign, ignoring your diet on vacation, or clothes in your closet - that you ignore. I propose a small challenge. See if you can organize your closet, whether it's by tops or a mix of all types, and wear everything in order until you run out. There are many pieces in my closet that I ignore until trying it on one random day and remember it's fit, then why I purchased it in the first place. Not only does this justify your purchases, but will help your daily style diversify by getting away from your go-to pieces.

Be Colorful

Earlier this year while visiting a local botanical garden in my hometown my grandfather told me something that stuck. When looking at all the beautiful flowers and plants throughout the gardens, one can't help but awe at all the amazing color. I brought a camera with me and was taking pictures of everything that caught my eye. Then he said something to me said that made me reevaluate my view on color. He said "Mother Nature never makes mistakes." As I took in each palette, I realized how many color trends and inspirations you can gather just from stepping outside. It's hard to figure what bright colors to pair with what and what better way to pull inspiration but from flowers in your front yard? A neutral wardrobe is safe and budget conscious because items can be worn multiple times and ways. But it's exactly how it sounds, neutral. Be colorful.
